Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. ROME, January 28.
Nitti has negotiated with the raiiwaymen, resulting in a settlement of the strike. The Simplon-Orient express narrowly escaped disaster near Verona. Tubes of high explosives, similar to those used in wartime to demolish entanglements, were placed on the line, but exploded a few seconds prematurely.
