ATHLETICS.
THE AUSTRALIAN MEETING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. SYDNEY, January 30. The weather is fine and the grou id in good order for to-morrow's athletic championships. Critics are favourably impressed with the New Zealanders doings, and consider them highly capable of giving a good account of themselves in several events. At the official welcome to the teams it was claimed the competitors at the coming meeting would make it the most representative gathering ever seen in Australia.
