SOUTH AMERICAN MARKET, (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan 24. The Department of Agriculture has been making inquiries regarding the possibility of renewing the export of apples to South America as was in operation before the war. A cabled reply, which has just been received, states that the probable price for New Zealand apples in Buenos Ayres is 15/- per case, but the fruit should go in cold storage. GOVERNMENT GUARANTEE LIMITED. WELLINGTON, January 24. Freight will be heavy. In view of this, it has been decided to limit the New Zealand Government guarantee of Id per pound on apples sent to South America to 1000 cases, so as to afford an opportunity of catching the market there.
