PLUNKET SOCIETY.

The usual monthly meeting of the local brand} of the Royal N.Z. Society for the Health of Women and Children, was held on Friday, November 14th, at the Stewart-Karitane Home. Present: Mesdames Tysett (chair), Mackay, McLeod, Addenbrokc, Bates, Kelly, McNeill, W. Stewart, Hope Gibbons, D’Arcy, and Miss Parkes. Apologies were received from Mesdames Medhurst, Stevenson, Comyns, Crawford, Lloyd, Chubb-Johnston, and Miss Cowper. NURSES’ REPORTS.—The nurses , reported 518 cases for the mouth, C 8 being new cases. Visits to homes 373, of which 38 were new cases. DONATIONS—The Committee acknowledge with many thanks a donation of £lO 4s 6d from the junior girls at the Clifton House School. This gift is much appreciated as this is the result of a bazaar organised and carried out entirely by these energetic little girls in aid of the furnishing of the StewartKaritane Home. It was decided to purchase some special gift with the money. Further donations in aid of the furnishing are 4 acknowledged from Mesdames Kelly, Crawford, and Pierce. The. resignation from the committee of Mrs C. L. Duigan was received with regret. Mrs W. Poison and Miss E. Fraser were elected members of the Committee. The following members were enrolled: Mesdames Acton, Kellick, Li vest am, and Lovelock.
