THE PRICE OF MEAT.

To the Editor. Sir,—Tire rese in the price of meat is a very serious matter to families, and I respectfully risk Mr Vcitcli through your columns if he would give the amount of meat released from the two freezing works from imperial stock to cur local butchers. I am. sure. Sir,... we arc getting frozen meat retailed to ns, for this reason: Dozen meat when cooked leaves the bone clean. I have had frozen meat under many different occupations. I submit that we should get mutton 2d per lb cheaper, and if Mr Vcitcli will supply the figures, as he can get easily, we will know if the public have had and are having a “fair deal” from our local butchers. Many parents will agree with me that the meat bill is a very serious question. Anticipating your kindness and Mr Voitch’s influence in the matter to help parents, in the matter.—l am, etc., EDW. SPENCER.
