A Press Aaaxsiation message from Dunedin states that owing -to the congestion of work at Port GhaJmera the Navoa s reconditioning and overhaul cannot be completed in time to enable iec to enter the Island service thi« month. The Talune, therefore, wiD be to make another round trip , to Fiji, Tonga and Samoa, leaving Auckland on November 22nd. The Navna ■will be ready for the second week in December. The Carpentaria, which was loading under the auspices of the A. and A. lAne, left New York on Saturday last. THE EIA ORA FOE WANGANUI. The Ea Ora, at present discharging American coal at Wellington, is to leave about November 20 for New Plymouth *nd Wanganui for loading. FOE SYDNEY. The Union Company announced the other day that the Manuka will leave Wellington about November 21st for Sydney. This "means that the Maori will be bade in the ferry service by that date. SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE. The Maritime Navigation Company of San Francisco, which has a fleet of 20 rebels has, says an exchange, decided to develop trade between that port, Australia and New Zealand. Steamers with refrigerating apparatus are to run meat, and it is intended to carry car S?IP .of hemp, hides, tallow, copra, rabbit ski as and woof, THE NEUMARK:. The ex-German steamer Neumark arrived at Auckland from Safaga Bay," Egypt. The steamer, once of the Ham-rurg-American Line, is a comparatively new make, coming from the hands of the builders at Bremen in 1914. and being recently surrendered to Britain in 1919. The Neumark left Safaga, in the Red Sea, on the last day of September, and arrived in Colombo on October 13th. She brings a cargo of basic phosphates and tea from Egypt and Ceylon, there being some 5000 tons of basic phosphate and about 700 tons of tea. Prior to going to Safaga, she had come from Alexandria, whence she liad gone from Newport on South Wales. She is due to leave for Wellington on completion of discharge of her Auckland cargo; her movements are then uncertain.
