WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION
A meeting; of the aLove Association was held this morning for the purpose of discussing arrangements for the coming Spring Show. There were present: Messrs H. V. Hammond (chair), J. T. Sinclair, L. 0. Ingram, P. S. Taylor, llua Te Muna, Doyle, G. Smith, B. Chaldecot, Hutchison, H. Middleton, B. C. Smith G. S. Vance, W. E. Collins, G. H. Handley, D. McGregor, G. Ward, Wyvern Moore, F. Moore, W. E. Collins. The following new members were elected:—G. H. Darhyshire, W. J. Simpson, David McKay, H. Hayes, E. Better, W. Ideally, T. Leahy, E, E, Gaines, H. Caines. It was decided to engage the Wanganui Garrison Band for the coming Show it their own tender. Certificates of merit will be issued after the Show, local exhibitors to call at the office of the secretary (Mr Gifford Moore). Certificates will be posted to outside exhibitors. - At last meeting Mr J. Hedges gave notice to rescind a motion passed at a previous meeting that no catalogues be sold until the day of Show. After considerable discussion, it was decided not to rescind the motion, and no catalogues will be sold until the first day of the Show. Nestles, Ltd., asked for permission to advertise and sell their goods, the profits to go to the Association, under the condition that the Association find girls for the purpose of looking after the stalls and for selling the goods. It was decided that the whole committee be appointed, each member to find one or more girls for this purpose.
