LIBERAL CANDIDATE FOR WAITEMATA. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 12. Mr A. E. Greenslade, Mayor of Northcote, is announced as the Liberal ca|didate for "Waitemata. THE WANGANUI SEAT. Mr L. Mcllvride will meet the Gonville electors this" evening in the Town Ball, when he will deliver an address, commencing at 8 o’clock. RANGITTKEI, MR GLENN’S CANDIDATURE. Meetings of the Reform supporters for the purpose of forming committees to advance Mr Glenn’s interests will be held during the next few days as follows; Durie Hill School, to-night, at 8 o’clock; Court Theatre, Upokongaro, Thursday, at 8 p.m.; Kaitoke, Public Hall, Friday, 8 p.m.; Okoia, Town Hall, Saturday, 8 p.m. THE PATSA SEAT. ME. MORRISON AT RAPANUI. The Liberal candidate for Patea addressed the electors at Rapanui on Monday evening, and despite the unfavourable weather there was a fair attendance. Mr J. Hodges presided. Mr Morrison spoke for nearly two hours on the general public questions of the day—land, education, railways, etc. He urged that every facility should be provided to enable the returned soldiers to get on the land, favoured nationalisation of the mines, and the elective executive, and pleaded for better facilities for country children to attend schools. The speech was listened to with marked approbation, and the candidate was accorded a hearty vote of thanks at the close of his address. At the close of the meeting a committee was formed to further Mr Morrison’s interests in the district, .with Mr Hodges as chairman, and Mr C. Gibbard as secretary. RANGITTKEI SEAT. Mr Brady, Labour candidate for Rangitikei electorate, addressed a meeting of railway employees at Eastown Workshops at noon to-day, and received an attentive hearing. At the conclusion he received ti hearty vote of thanks and confidence as a fit and proper person to represent the district. Cheers were also given for Mr Brady and the Labour Party.
