COTTAGE GARDEN COMPETITION.

In connection • with the above Society’s Rose, Carnation, and Sweet Pea Show, to be held in the Drill Hall on December sth, a competition for “The Best Kept Cottage Garden” will be held, and the Society offers the following cash prizes First £3, 2nd £2, 3rd £l. The conditions are as follows—Area not to exceed quarter-acre, with cottage. No labour to be employed outside of family, except to dig ground. Entries close on November 24th; entry fee Is. ' Open to' all within a radius of three miles from Wanganui Post Office. Full particulars may be obtained from Mrs E. TI. Suisted, P.O. Box 339, or Mr J. Robertson, c/o Rice and Co., Avenue. “Tesla. Studios” and ‘ Mr F. H. Denton have loudly offered to take photographs of the winning gardens.
