Lord French, in receiving the freedom of Wallasey, said the Sinn Fein Government, to which the Irish Volunteers wore attached, was the latest and greatest difficulty in Irish politics. The Government was anxious to give every class of Irishman self-determina-tion, but this was impossible till law and order were finally established. .Rumours of coercion and harshincss in Ireland should be considered in this light.
