SUPREME COURT.

AT TIMARU, (Per United Press Association.') TIMARU, July 30. At the Supreme- Court* Harris Grand, on a, charge -of a breach of the bankruptcy Law, was found not guilty; Edward Prank Knight,, charged with arson by burning his own temporarily unoccupied cottage ,at Waimate, and perjury in denying at the. fire inquiry that he was near the house the‘evening before the fire. The jury retired at 10.18 p.m., and returned four hours later with a verdict of not guilty, on the charge of arson, but disagreed as to perjury. A new trial has been ordered.
