■ MONTHLY MEETING. . The usual monthly meting of theT Castlecliff Town Board was held last night, Cmr R. Brown presiding. Thera were also present Cmrs. Meuli, Cooper* Dunklcy, Nixon, and Passmore. EPIDEMIC COMMITTEE. - Cmr/ Cooper was appointed the Board’s representation on the Hospital Board’s Epidemic Committee.

HOSPITAL "LEVY.—It was notified by the Hospital Board that the levy for the year was .£BS 6s 7d. This was an incerase of £35 over the preceding vear. ‘ KARAKA STREET.—Messrs Armstrong, Craig, and Barton intimated! that the Matipo Land Company had completed 'the formation of Baraka Street) extension, and asked the Board to accept dedication. —Agreed to. ; LIGHT.—The Ratepayers’ Association asked the Board to have a light placed at the corner of Cornfoot and Rangiora Streets. This was, it was pointed out, an important -traffic centre.—The request was endorsed, and it was decided to forward it on to the Tramway Board. STRAYING STOCK.—The Ratepayers* Association complained of stock grazing oh the roads aj; night, and of consequent damage to slopes and fences. The Association asked the Board to have thg' impounding regulations carried out.—• Reply to he cent that the ranger wadi doing his best to deal with the nnie* ance. SUPERANNUATION.—The Boron gU Council invited the Board to appoint two delegates to represent it at a com ference to he called shortly to discnsA a proposal to establish a snperanmuw tion scheftie for employees of surround* ing local hodies.—Received. LOAN.—Tlie State Advances Department notified the Board that it wan prepared to entertain a loan of £10,009 for the purpose of installing water and drainage system, constructing and improving new streets, footpaths, 9tc.
