JAPAN AND CHINA.
A PROTEST BY JAPAN. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received Julv 7, 12.30 p.m. NEW YORK, July 6. The New York Times’ Washington correspondent states that official despatches say that the Japanese military commander in Trans-Baikalia has protested to the Chinese Government against the movement of Chinese troops to the Mongolian border as being a violation of the Chino-Japanese agreement. The Chinese Government replied that the troops had been sent to the Mongolian border merely to prevent disorders in the main districts.
