R34’S VOYAGE.
AIRSHIP RUNNING SHORT OP '. FUEL. Australian and N.Z. Gable Association. NEW YORK, July 5. A Boston message reports that E34 is in distress and asks the assistance of a warship. A later message states that R34 was merely running short of .fuel and asked the assistance of a warship in case a headwind does not moderate. Her position is over the Bay of Pundy. Two destroyers have been despatched. R34 STILL PROCEEDING. NEW TORE, July 5. Boston messages states that the British Army airship R34 is continuing her voyage, but fuel isi nearly exhausted. NEW TORE, July 6. It is reported that R34 is proceeding under her own power to Chatham. The dirigible is being trailed by the Unitea States 5 destroyer Bancroft. HANDLEY PAGE MACHINE’S PLIGHT. HARBOUR GRACE (Newfoundland), July 4. A Handley Page machine has started for Atlantic City. THE MACHINE COMES DOWN. HALIFAX, July 5. A Handley Page machine, en route from Newfoundland to New York, was forced to descend at Parrsborough (Nova Scotia), owing to engine trouble. The machine was damaged amd unable to proceed. A message from Canao states: R34 reports all well.
