THE FREEMAN CASE.

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. SYDNEY, June 4. A big crowd watched the removal of Freeman from the Sonoma to the Garrison Hospital at Victoria Barracks, pending the decision of the Minister of Defence. Freeman broke his self-imposed fast last evening, when ‘informed that he was to be removed, but is very weak after several foodless days. He had to be carried out on a stretcher.

The wharf labourers resumed loading the Sonoma when Freeman’s removal was assured.

The Minister for Defence promised Mr Tudor and other Labour leaders that the Cabinet would consider the request for a free trial for Freeman.
