AMUSEMENTS & MEETINGS.
HIS MAJESTY’S, Intending patrons are reminded of the final screening this evening of “Tempered Steel,” with Olga Petrova in the leading role. Petrova ia undoubtedly at her best in this picture, and patrons should not miss this, the last opportunity, of seeing her as Lncille Carruthers, a strong-willed woman who chooses the stage and makes her way at the risk of reputation. The supports are excellent. A complete change of programme will be made to-morrow evening, when Miss Kitty Gordon will appear in “Tinsel,” a society drama in which there are some thrilling scenes, magnificent settings, and dresses simply gorgeous. RETURNED SOLDIERS’ ART UNION FUND. Mrs Langridge and. committee hold a very successful dance in the Druids’ Hall in aid of the Returned Soldiers’ Art Union fund. About £2O worth of art union tickets were disposed of, and the -art union committee are grateful to the ladies for their help.
