At the instance of Mr Lloyd George, overtures were made to Admiral Koltchak that British troops be gradually withdrawn from Russia, but that volunteers be allowed to remain.
The new treaty with Poland guarantees language, religious, and educational liberties to minorities included in the new kingdom, especially Jews, whose future had given the Allies anxiety.
