LIGHT RAILWAYS

(Per Uruieu .Press Association.) HAMILTON, May 13

At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce Captain Bruce, who served as engineer in charge of •light railways in the New Zealand Division in France, gave an address on light railways. He considered light railways eminently suitable for New Zealand as feeders of the main lines and the developing of the back country. The meeting decided to cable Mr Massey .urging him to go thoroughly into the matter and procure light lines in France to use in an experiment here.
