VICTORIAN HOSPITALS OVERCROWDED.

Influenza iu the metropolitan area is steadily increasing- its hold, and is rapidly spreading in the country. Besides 255 deaths officially reported, it is stated that 75 have occurred since ihe outbreak outside the hospitals. In Victoria the disease is still virulent, and there have been 41 deaths and 241 fresh eases during the past three days. The city hospitals are overcrowded, and there is a great shortage of nurses.
