DEFINITE ALLIED POLICY WANTED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association Received April 9, 8.15 a.m. LONDON. April 8. There is a growing feeling that it is of the greatest importance that the Allies should decide on a definite policy for dealing with Bolshevism, and prevent it spreading. Petrograd could be readily captured, but the problem of feeding the city afterwards would be most difficult. The time of the year is becoming suitable for naval and military operations. BOLSHEVIK REGIME IN DISFAVOUR.
SOLDIERS DESERTING. LONDON, April 8. The Daily Telegraph’s Stockholm correspondent states that refugees from Petrograd report that the discipline of the Bolshevik soldiers is deteriorating. Many are deserting from the front, and there is growing hatred by the populace against the present regime. AMERICAN ARMY INFECTED A MISSION TO COUNTERACT IT. Received April 9. 10.15 a.m. WASHINGTON. April 8. The War Department is arranging to despatch an educational mission to Europe to combat Bolshevist ideas in the American army.
