SHOP ASSISTANTS’ DISPUTE

The secretary of the local Employers ’Association has been advised by the Conciliation Commissioner that at the Wellington sitting, held on Monday, the request of the secretary of the Wellington Association for a postponement of consideration of the above dispute was acceded to, and the sitting has now been fixed for. the 15th May. This dispute covers the industries of soft goods, hardware, boots, furniture, stationery, and fancy goods, and the Wanganui sitting was originally fixed for the 11th inst.
