GARRISON BAND CONCERT. Should the weather be favourable, the Garrison Band will give an openair concert ,at Castlecliff this evening, commencing about 8 o’clock. The tramway management will run special cars, the first leaving the Post Office at 7.25. A popular programme will be given, and an enjoyable outing may be anticipated. Should the rain continue after 5 o’clock the concert will be postponed. - THE PROHIBITION POLL. During the past year steamers have been held up over and" over again because the firemen were absent on shore. The evidence has always been that they were not exactly at a Y.M.C.A. conference! There are hundreds of sober, decent firemen who want to stay ion the job and earn money, but they can’t even get on the job because certain individuals are licensed to sell stuff that keeps their mates off the job. And when, they are off their job they are keeping you off your job, Mr Yoter, and many other working men off their jobs. We close the bars—you and I, Mr Yoter—then the steamers, will get away on schedule, and there will not be so much waste time added to the freight charges and falling hack on the consumer in added costs. The shipping companies always look after themselves. We must look after ns! Strike out the top Hue on Thursday, April 10! * Be judge and jury and rive "Nazol” a trial. There can be only one verdict—- “ Absolutely competent to cure colds, influenza, bronchitis and nasal catarrh."
