The N. Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report for the week ending February 22; We held sales at Rangiotu, Apiti, Rangiwahia, Kimboiton, Palmerston North, and Feilding. At our Rangiotu sale on Monday we had an average yarding. Stock sold well with a slight advance on late rates. F. and f. ewes 25s Bd, f. and, 2-th ewes 2Gs 3d, 15mos steers £5 3s, lomos. heifers £3 16s, weaners 16s to 17s, fat cows £lO, £lO 8s to £lO 10s, forward cows £7 Is £7 4s, £7 6s, £7 10s to £8 4«, cows and calves £7 10s, potter bulls £7, £7 10s, £8 to £lO, yearling bulls £1 10s, £1 13s 6d to £3 ss. At Apiti on Monday we held a special sale of weaners. The entry was short of advertised numbers, but all sold well in comparison with other markets. Best s.b. weaners £3 2s 6d, £3 3s 6d, £3 9s, £3 10s, £4 2s, fair sorts £2, £2 ss, £2 Ss, £2 10s, 20mos. steers £6 15s, £7 2s. At Rangiawahia on Tuesday we had a good yarding and the bulk of the entry sold at prices on a par with recent rates. Mixed lambs, small, 5s Id, 6s; fair lambs 7s 6d, 8s 9d; good lambs 10s, 11s 2d; 4 and 4>-year owes 21s, 23s Id, 24s 2d; aged ewes 7s 6d to 15s; small 2-tb wethers 16s, 18s; 2-tk weth-' ers, good, 22s 9d, 23s 6d, 23s 9d, 245; 2-th Romney rams to 2-)gns., f.m. rams 15s to 30s, good 20mns mixed s.h. cattle £7, fat cows £lO 10s. At Kimboiton on Wednesday we bad a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. All lots met with good competition at recent values. Fair mixed lambs, 8s 9d; two-tooth ewes, small, 19s 6d; two-tooth wethers, fair, 21s 6d, 22s lOd; four and five-year ewes, 19s, 20s, 21s, 225; two-tooth Romney rams, £3 3s; good mixed weaners, £2 7s 6d, £3, £3 13s 6d; store cows, £4 'tOs; 18-raonth heifers, £4 10s; 20-month steers, £5 17s 6d to £8 2s 6d; fat oows, £9 15s: three-year steers, £lO 10s; cows with calves, £5 ss; springing heifers, £9 7s 6d, £lO 10s. At our Palmerston sale on Thursday we had an average yarding of sheep and cattle. The attendance was poor and bidding in favour of purchasers. Four-tooth wethers, 26s 4d; two-tooth wethers, 235; f. and f. ewes, 18s 6d: forward ewes, 12s 6d: cull ewes, 5s Id to 7s; 15 to 18-month steers, £5 to £5 10s; yearling heifers, £3 Is to £3 10s; weaners, 21s to 275; fat cows, £ll 10s; springing heifers, £8 5s to £1 07s 6d; heifers in milk, £9; cows in milk, £l2 15s; bulls, £8 ss. At Feildinw on Friday wo had a good yarding of sheep but few cattle. Tire quality of the yarding was indifferent and bidding was inclined to drag. Two-tooth wethers, fair, 23s Id: b.f. two-tooth wethers, 18s 3d; fat ewes and wethers, 23s 7d, 26g 6d; cnll lambs, 3s to ss; fair lambs, 7s 7d, Bs, 8s lid; good shorn lambs, 11s Id, 11s 2d, 11s 3d, 11s 9d ; f. and f. lambs, 14s 8d; heavy Iplls, £lO ss, £l2, £l6 ss.
