Advices from Berlin state that the conference has completed the drafting of the Bill for the election of the Imperial Constituent Assembly. The election will probably b© held on the 2nd February. LONDON, November 29. Hast Fire Coalitionists oppose Mr Asquith mainly on the question of Free Trade and Home Rule. The Pontefract Miners’ Federation has adopted Mr John Burns as a candidate. Mr Hodge referred to his position as Minister to the Steel Smelters’ Union, whose executive asked him to quit the Government.
