LONDON, November 29. Hast Fire Coalitionists oppose Mr Asquith mainly on the question of Free Trade and Home Rule. The Pontefract Miners’ Federation has adopted Mr John Burns as a candidate. Mr Hodge referred to his position as Minister to the Steel Smelters’ Union, whose executive asked him to quit the Government.
