INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC
TERRIBLE RAVAGES, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association LONDON, October 28. The influenza epidemic is world-wide. India, South Africa, Argentina and Scandinavia report its prevalence. There have been 13,394 deaths in Bombay alone. A total of 1753 died during a week in Vienna. The supply of coffins in Vienna is exhausted. Some bodies are kept in ice for weeks and then, buried in paper sacks. Fifty-eight corpses were picked up in London streets on Saturday and Sunday. The East' Ham Council lias closed the elementary schools and forbidden child-
ren to attend cinemas.
