Australian and N.Z. Cable Association SYDNEY, September 27. No New Zealand top-notchers will figure at Hawkesbury to-morrow. Mr Alf. Morse, of Hawera, hae been appointed as starter at the New Plymouth and Stratford meetings during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Mr Morse has also been re-appointed for the Opunake Club. Woorawa, who brought about the defeat of the New Zealand colt Finmark in the Roeehill Guineas on Saturday last, is a hfghly-bred colt by St. Simon horse Charlemagne 11., his dam, Gaelic / Lass, being got by Ayr Laddie from Veronique, a daughter of Grafton. Woorawa, who was bought cheaply as yearling by his present owner, Mr J. T. Black, for 200 guineas, displayed form last season, and, with the opinion expressed in well-versed quartern that staying will probably be his forte, there is some reason to regard Woorawa’s Derby chance with consider•r~
