RATES OF PAY FIXED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received December 19, 8.55 a.m. LONDON, December 18. The official standard for monthly rates on passenger lines has been fixed in the case of stewards and stewardesses at £lO/15/-. The standard monthly rates, with free food, aboard cargo liners and general -traders carrying 60 hands and upwards are: Chief steward £l7, cook £l6, second cook and baker £l2 10/-, and second steward £ll.
