The Sun’s Petrograd correspondent interviewed Trotsky, who said: -—“ The Bolsheviks are the sole powerful party in Russia. We are absolute masters, and will rule Russia as we like. Millions of peace decrees will be dropped in German trenches and distributed in England, France, and Italy. Kerensky is a coward. The Bolsheviks will win, because we are audacious.” TEXT OF THE ARMISTICE. TO EXTEND TO JANUARY 14. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) Received December 19, 8.55 a.m. LONDON. December 18. The text of the armistice has been published at Vienna, and shows that it extends from noon of the 17th November to noon of the 14th January. It applies to the Russo-Turkish theatres in Asia. Troops on the present fronts will not be strengthened or transferred unless the transfers had already been begun at the time of signature, and the armistice prescribes conditions for the development and fraternisation. Intercourse will be permissible between sunrise and sunset at certain places, where not more than 25 persons, unarmed, may assemble simultaneously. The exchange of newspapers and letters, and the sale of goods, will be permitted. The armistice applies to the naval and aerial forces in the Black Sea and the Baltic. Attacks on merchantmen and warships cease, and as far- as possible the Russian Government undertakes to guarantee that the naval forces of the> Entente, in these waters will behave similarly ,to the Russian. Seven armistice commissions shall meet at Riga, Dvlnsk, Brest Litovsk, Berditchev, Kolosdvar, Fochsani, and Odessa to carry out details.
