SOME SEQUELS TO UPHEAVAL.. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Services.) Beceived October 4, 10.20 a.m>. SYDNEY, October 4: The following strike sequels have occurred : —TbeMaetc-rs' and Engineers' Association has withdrawn from the Labour Federation and P.L.L., the Industrial Court has cancelled the registration of the Coast District section of the Federated Engine-drivers' Association, and ij&s also cancelled the preference clause in the Cold Storage Workers' Union award. COAL MINERS RESUMING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Aflsociatioa. SYDNEY, October 3Excepting in the Maitland district, and some pits elsewhere, which are not yet ready to start, the bulk of the coal mines in the various districts resumed this morning. It is expected that the remainder will start in a day or two. As a result of the resumption,, the Railway Commissioners anticipate fully restoring the pre-strike service by the end of the week. Gas restrictions will probably be removed to-morrow. Developments in the shipping position are a.lso pending. The shipowners replied to the seamen's request for a conference that no conference was needed when work was availabl. Men would be engaged a? required. «
