Counsel, ‘continuing, said that on the 7th September Howell read to " the seamen a resolution passed by the Union, exhorting them not to/go to sea without an extra deck baud on the watch. The men themselves weio. not anxious to strike, as under the new agreement they were earning from £2O to £25 per month. ‘ The hearing of the evidence-is proceeding.
