THE A.J.C. SPRING CARNIVAL. . ... BIPLANE WINS THE DERBY, Australian and N.Z. Cable. Association. SYDNEY, September 29. The weather was fine for the opening of the A.J.C. spring meeting. The going was good, and the attendance was large. The totalisator was inaugurated at the meeting. Results: —■ .' Hurdles—Dun aries Mulgawillah 2, Bundon 3- There were 16 starters. Won by five lengths. Time, 3.445. Trial'Stakes—Ferrolater 1, Two Blues 2, Girlah 3. There were. 10 starters. Won fry three lengths. Time, 2.9§-. A.J.C. Derby—Biplane (B. Deeley) 1, Bronzetti 2, Thrice 3. Nine starters. Biplane took command fairly early in the race, and was never afterwards headed, winning easily by two and -a half lengths, half a neck between - second, ahd third horses. Time, 1.38 J. Epsom Handicar>—-Satin Bird 1, Wedge 2, Mehi King 3. Twenty-two starters. "A great finish. ' Won by half a neck, half a length between second and third horses. Time, 1.38£. Spring; Stakes—Wallace Isinglass 1, Bayou 2, The Fortune Hunter 3. Fifteen starters. Won by a length. Tie, 2.35. ". Kensington : Handicap—Anotto 1, Some Boy 2, Bonnie Plume 3. Thirtythree starters. Won by a length. Time, 1.26*.
