EDUCATION BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Wangaliui Education Board was held last evening, the following being present: Messrs F. Pirani (chairman), Christie, Hemingway, Broad, Bryant, Sewell, Joblin, Collins, Eraser, and Mclntyre. The chief inspector reported favourably on the establishment of a school at Mangatiti. It was decided to apply to the Department for a grant for a school at Moutoioa. The settlers at Pornangaki have been asked to provide a room for a school. The following grants were made:—■ Terrace End, £1 16s; Stoney Creek, £3; Utiwai, £2 4s; Alton, £3;'Feildmg D.H.S., £5 12s. A cornmunciatiou was received from the Education Department stating that owing to the attendance at tue Bulls High School it was not prepared to provide a salary for a secondary assistant. APPOINTMENTS. The following accepted offers of appointments and '. ransfers were decided upon:—Stoney Creek, acting head teacher, Mr C. McGonnachie; Mangaonoho, solo teacher, Mr A. J. RELIEVING TEACHERS EMPLOYED. Miss E. S. Gra.nt at Grentford, pending appointment of permanent teacher; Mrs Lewis at Utiku during absence of assist: Mr Lock at Stanway, pending appointment of acting teacher; M'ss Lynch at Terrace End, during absence of assistant; Miss Dons at Collego Street, during absence of assistant; Miss C. L. Brown at Fitzherbert East, pending arrival of permanent teacher, Mrs MeCosh at Upokongaro during absence of assistant; Miss G. Stewart, pupil teacher, Lytfcon Street, to Feilding D.H.S.; Miss P. Bailey, pupil teacher, Feilding D.H.S. to Lyttoi Street; Miss C. E. Hansen, probationer, Ohakune. RESIGNATIONS. The following resignations have been received: —Miss N.
