STEAMERS IN COLLISION
THE WOOTON CONSIDERABLY DAMAGED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 18. The steamers Wooton and Queen of the South collided at a Wellington wharf about 9 o'clock to-night. Tie Queen of the South was pulling out, and the Wooton was to have left for Picton to load stock for Wanganui, but it is not known now when t=he will get away. The collision carried away lines, lifted the decking, broke the railing, and burst the door of the cook's room.
