Private information has been received to the cfUct that Private Geo. Kendall, who went away with the 17th Reinforcements, was wounded in France on the £7th March. At one time Private Kendall was employed as machinist at the “Herald” office, but for some years prior to enlistment had been farming in the Paurinru district. Th* relatives of Sergt. P. C. O’Hara, of Wanganui. Bth Reinforcements, Headquarters Staff, have received word that he is dangeroi«ly ill in Franc© with pneumonia. His friends will hope to hear of his speedy recovery.
