WATERSIDERS' DISPUTE.
STATEMENT BY WORKERS’ FEDERATION. (Per United Press Association.} WELLINGTON, January 31. The Waterside Workers’ Federation, in a statement to the Press, say, that the employers put them to great inconvenience and lose by bringing delegate from all parts of New Zealand, and ther refusing to discuss terms for the new Agreement. Objection is taken to the “black list,” especially as an agreement was entered into on the occasion of the last strike that there would be no victimisation. The statement also puts the Federation view regarding the hour fo; engagement, the bverladihg of nets, and dumping, and says their claims as published have been withdrawn. Regarding Imperial meat cargoes, the Federation is willing to meet representatives of the Imperial authorities, and an assured agreement can be reached to ensure the quick despatch of ships.
