CONSTRUCTION OF MERCHANTMEN.
ITALIAN NAVAL COMPANIES’ EFFORTS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received February 1, 8.55 a.m. ROME. January 31. Eleyen naval shipbuilding companies have formed a syndicate for the development of the construction of merchantmen, and have commenced to build 120,000 tons of shippings A further programme will be started immediately- The vessels are to be ready at the end of the year.
