EVERYBODY’S. That remarkable film allegory, “The Hypocrites,’’ with its beautiful crear tion, “The Spirit of Truth,” is drawing well at the popular Everybody’s Theatre. The production is extremely artistic and free from offensiyeness. Miss Edwards’ discreet posing as “Truth” is a masterpiece of refinement. “Hypocrites” and the meritorious subsidiary pictures finish to-night, when the house is sure to be crowded. Another excellent programme comes to Everybody’s on Monday. This will be the remarkable naval dramatic sensation in five acts, “The Hero of Submarine D2.” The play is recognised as one of the most astonishing achievements of the kinema. Many of the situations are uncommonly thrilling, and excitement is the keynote of the production. The blowing-up of a mine-field is described as an awesome spectacle. HIS MAJESTY’S. There is undeniable grip about the big puture at His Majesty’s Theatre that accounts for the splendid attendances. “Perils of Divorce,” by the noted World’s Film Corporation, is a purposeful drama in five acts that not only entertains but leaves in the mind something to be thought over afterwards. That funny comedy. “Discovered,” in which the wonderful monkeys “Napoleon” and “Sally” combine with a human cast to make rollicking fun, is a great favourite. This good programme will be screened to-night for the last time. A notable combination of an illustrious actress with a celebrated play is Monday’s attraction. Edna May. the famous “Belle of New York," i. in the filmic dramatisation of that celebrated musical comedy by the Yitagraph Com-' pany under the title of “Salvation Joan.” a powerful drama in seven acts. Considerable diplomacy and much argument were necessary before the leader of the musical comedy stage could be induced to appear on the screen, but the idea once more living her old part of the Salvation lassie in the “Belle of New York” decided her, and the result is said to be a big coup for the producers. Edna May’s first appearance in comera work is regarded as an electrjc triumnh. An attractive supporting programme has been secured. Seats may be reserved by telephone 863.
