German disappointment at the fact that Poles are not enlisting is increasing. The Kovno Gazette .states that the German chief of command in Eastern Galicia has protested that the Poles, considering Poland is already a sovereign state, should first establish an army to collaborate in its defence. INVINCIBILITY ADMITTED. LONDON, Januaery 11. In a newspaper article Count Andrassy. Count Tiza’s rival, admits that Austria has nothing to gain by the continuance of the war, and that Germany must recognise the invincibility of the British Navy. The article has brought about a feelin gof anger in Berlin. The newspapers advocating Count Tiza’s policy violently accuse Count Andrassy of deserting the Teutonic cause.
