The military officials in all the various Wellington Groups have interested themselves in the project, and judging by present results the whole show must be a complete success. The promoters want to see the Opera House filled on Tuesday night next, and as the object is a worthy., one, Wanganui people will not disappoint them. There will be musical selections by O’Hara’s Orchestra, Pipe Major Wm. Hogg, Lieut. Geo. Buckley, and Mr W. Shepley. Songs will be conr tributed by Madame Emily Briggs, Miss Ivo Symea, little Doris Symes, Mr Claude Suisted, Capt. L. Craig, and Lieut. Packman, scotch dances will be given by Misses Emma McDermit, P. Quarterman, Iris Leeson, and Master John F. McMillan. Mr Frank Wilkie, the popular and versatile comedian, will/be seen ,in his latest comic successes, and the accompanists will include Misses Ruby Curran, Ethel Bignell, and Mrs. Claude Suisted. A feature of the evening’s entertainment will be the presentation of prizes won at the Wellington District Rifle meeting, which will be held on the Putiki Rifle Range on January 22 and 23. The prices are only 3s, 2s, and Is, and when it is known that George Swan is stage manager with Lachlan McMillan and Staff-Sergt.-Major Bell as joint secretaries, the public can guarantee that the show will be up-to-date in every respect.
