SUICIDE OF A SOLDIER.

(Per United Press Association.) CARTERTON, January 23. A discharged soldier named Charles Marshall Dix, of A Coy., 22nd Reinforcements, was found in Carrington Park on Sunday with his throat °cut. He was removed to the Grey town Hospital, where he expired at 8.30 last night. Deceased was discharged from camp on January 18 as medically unfit. Hef was a single man, aged 28. Hie mother resides at Taupiri, Waikato.
