WOMEN’S NATIONAL RESERVE.
The Women’s branch of the National Reserve have enrolled a very satisfactory number of members during the month. It is hoped that many others will enrol when the objects of the Reserve liecome better known, and the women of the community realise the immense value tlie enlistment of their services will be to the business of the country. It should give a stimulus to recruiting amongst the men -vhen it becomes known that the women are prepared to go in to hold their positions until their return. A great percentage of the women of the Wanganui Military District are women of leisure or are women who could afford the time and are anxious to do their share in this world-wide struggle. By enlisting with the Women’s National Reserve, as the necessity arises, members will be given an opportunity of going into some branch of employment and thereby set free a man for military service. A* soon as sufficient inducement offers, rlasses will be formed, to prepare members for the particular branch of employment they wish to enter. The officers of the Reserve are always ready and willing to give intending members the fullest information. A number of cards are still out. The secretaries would be glad if members would -complete and return them as soon as possible. so that the register can he completed.
