SWIMMING.
LIFE-SAVING CLASS. The Victoria Swimming Chib commence a life-saving class to-morrow and c:tch morning this and next week, at ■'.ls. and cordially invite any swimmers interested to attend. Visiting soldiers are also invited, and members of the Loyal Life-Saving Society will give them Lee instruction. The above should attract a good many, as although men may be fair average swimmers they are ■ ften ludpless xx hen trying to effect a nsene if they are not conversant with i le different grips and releases. Mr J. Coull. who passed the test less 'an six months ago, and xvho is now in training at Trentham, has already been the means of effecting txvo rescues.
