Arrived.—Calm (3.30 a.m.), from Wanganui. Y'esterday morning the Wootton arrived with a consignment of sheep from Kaikoura and sailed for Nydia Bay in the afternoon. The Kaniti loaded cheese at Castlecliff this afternoon previous to sailing for Wellington. En route from San Francisco to Wellington the Wairuna arrived at Suva on Thursday. She is due at Wellington on December 2nd, and after landing 3184 tona of cargo, included in which is 1000 tona of oil, the vessel will proceed on to Melbourne and Sydney. Bound from London to New Zealand ports. B.M.S. Corintliic left Capetown on Tuesday, November 24th. The liner is due at Wellington about December 16th. The Union Company's steamer Takapuna, which has been laid up in tlie stream at Wellington for several months past, is to be recommissioned. She has been placed on the patent slip, and after undergoing an extensive overhaul, she will enter the Napier-Gisborne service for the Christmas season. It has been decided to name the fourth new vessel that is to enter the AustralianNew Zealand-United Kingdom trade shortly the Aberdeenshire, and from reports just to hand, it is more than probable that Captain Wallace will have command. The Aberdeenshire will he a deeidedlv fine type of vessel, judging from news that is filtering through from the builder's yards, although essentially designed for the cargo traffic.
