'Die liisiil linoi' of 'lie new budget of pictures at tho Kino's Theatre yesterday was a fine two-reel Kalem drama, ‘Her Husband's Honour.' 1 The plot deals extensively in some clever of jn*arls from Haris to America, and shows Hie secret workings of the Amenean Customs Department, ending in a dramatic confession by the wife of a Customs official, who clears the honour of her husband. A topical film “Chicago Excursion Disaster, ’ gives one an idea of all the j athetic happenings after the picnic s'"earner Eastland capsized in Chicago River. Out of three thousand on hoard, ever one thousand wore drowned, Rescue work was carried on for three days, the authorities even cutting holes through Hre steel hull with oxvline gas in an e iort to rescue the victims. Two good dramas and some most amusing comedies were also shown, the gem of the latter being undoubtedly “Those Hitter Sweets, by the Keystone Company. Attention is drawn to the notice of the annual meeting of the Wanganui Swimming Centre to-night. A concert in aid of wounded soldiers will lie held in the' (Innville Town Hall 1 i-night. Items include a children's canlata, children's dances, songs by Mr Wilkie, Mr Jensen, and others.
