BRITISH SUBMARINES IN BALTIC.
GERMAN SHIPPING BADLY SCARED. COPENHAGEN, October 24. Swedish metal exports to Germany have been discontinued. The activity of British submarines has resulted in the holding up of all German shipping, while Swedish steamers will not move in the nighttime. The waters are said to be strewn with thousands of mines, BRITISH STEAMERS SUNK. AMSTERDAM, October 23. The Germans have sunk the British steamers Aukiris and City of Berlin, which have been detained at Hamburg since the outbreak of war.
