Grange (N.Z. Farmers’-Co-operative Association, ' Christ-' •church); Mrs. Harold, Rhind (Lyttelton residents); Miss Clara Rog- _ ers (Kirkcaldie’s Employees . and Hawera Patriotic Committee): Miss Sylvia Wilson (Grace Bros., Carterton). For each of the twelve women £IOO has been paid-to the Defence Department, less passage morey. The average cost .of each volunteer, ■ in addition to the £IOO, is £OO Tor outfit. The balance of the £IOO was remitted abroad by the Defence Minister for the use of the Si seer hood. On arrival in Egypt, the women wi.l be met by Y.M.C.A, representatives, who will take charge of postal and cable arrangements fqr them.
