MONTHLY MEETING. The usual -monthly meeting of th,e Wanganui County Cophc was held . this morning, presided;.over by the chairman, Cr Robinson..' Thefe were, also present Crs Bamber, O'Neil, pine, D. PERRY.—It was decided to grant the ferry-mam at the Uppkongaro ferry £2 bonus for services rendered In looking after the ferry punt during the recent flood. ' T V ! . RESIGNATION,—A letter .was received from Mr G. Collins, resigning his seat on the Council owing tp toing accepted for military service. Mr A. H. Collins has been elected, to the vacancy without opposition. ,■ FLOOD DAMAGE.—The Public Works Department asked for a : detailed report of the damage to the Ooiinty roads, and the approximate cost of repairs.—lt’was decided to ask, the foreman to* make uj> the schedule., ’ '"'■■■ ' v AUSTIN SCARIFIER—It whs decided to . order ah Austin scarifier for the road roller. .
