INVENTED BY MELBOURNE ( SCIENTISTS. , Received August 31, 8.20 a.m. MELBOURNE, August 31. ; Senator Pearce, in a statement of tha work of - the Federal Munitions Committee, says that an 'efficient anti-gas at-. pa'ratus has been invented by scion tints; of the Melbourne University, where ten thousand are being manufactured. Sue-, cifications and samples are being sent to England. The Queensland committee is investigating the production of a khaki dye. The local'wools committees are also, investigating the possibility ’of the manufacture-of picric acid, trotyl,; and toluene. ' ’
