Beef.—Beef is only in small quantity, and second quality of New Zealand beef at market. This is selling at: Hinds, 7Jd; fores, 6)d. Chilled in moderate supply: Hinds, BJd; fores, 6td. Butter.—Market quiet and prices easier. Danish very slow at 165s to 1695; Siberian in good demand at 134-s to 138s; Irish creamery quiet at 154s to 158s; Argentine, giod inquire at 152s to 1545. Cheese.—Market quiet, but steadier, Canadian quiet at 72s to 745, according to quality and erudition: English Cheddar quiet at G4s; New Zealand quiet; fine and finest at 71s, 735, and up to 74a: United States slew at 66s to 70s. but what is not in good condition is at 58s to 645. Hemp.—Market very quiet. New Zealand good fair grade, per ton £32/ fair £3O. Forward shipment is queued at same price. Manila, new graded fair, £3B. The cutout from Manila for the week w,r» 20,030 bales. Wheat.—Maiket dull, and prices irregular. The demand is principally speculative. Canadian and American crops are rep'rtei to lie good. Canadian old crops on ravage, 54s uer quarter; now cron, September to October shipment, 4-os 6d; October to November. 455. American new cron, August to September, 45s 6d. Oats. Market quiet, and small business doing. Argentine, on spot, 25s per quarts-; Auoust to September shipment, 24s 6d.‘ "
