Shipping companies are continuing to ship meat under special permits;’ The embargo'on'the export of, merino wool to America has been definitely lifted where space was arranged ; for before February sth, subject to shippers undertaking, to cable instructions enabling the wool to be dealt with as if originally consigned. The Textile Alliance Waitemata continues Jpading. The Wool Brokers’ Association has secured the same concessions regarding the prepayment of freight as were accorded to New Zealand. •». * "HERALD” FUND. The following amounts have been received:—From Mr T. H. Wilkie, 10s to. the British Food Fund, and 10s to the, Belgian Food Fund. The “Herald” ’ Fund now totals £714 14s Bd.
